Steve & Duff
A few years ago Steve and Duff met and began playing music together as members of the worship band at First Christian Church Sun City, AZ. They enjoyed serving in the church, as well as bringing musical inspiration into the greater community.
Over time, Steve became increasingly productive as a poet and writer of lyrics. He received inspiration during times of prayer, silence, reflection on Scripture, and in the night hours. It seemed that the Holy Spirit was touching him and moving him to exercise this gift of expression in word form.
Steve approached Duff on several occasions about the possibility of collaboration in creating songs where he would provide the words and Duff would create the music.
At the time, Duff was Worship Pastor at First Christian Church Sun City and also pastoring Foothills Community Church in Chandler, AZ. Life was pretty full and it didn't seem that there was time and space for more intentionally engaging in the creation of original music.
Steve encouraged Duff to "pray about it" and that is what they both did for quite some time. Steve continually sent lyrics and new poems that showed the inspirational creativity was flowing in his heart and mind.
One day Duff felt a "nudge" to sit down at the piano and look through some of the song lyrics to see if anything started to flow creatively. Sure enough, before long, melody lines, harmonies, rhythms started to emerge and a process of moving forward as co-writers was born!
Over months and years songs were written, arranged and recorded. Today a gospel music duo, Steve & Duff is releasing fresh new songs and doing some limited concert touring. All with the prayer that God will flow love, goodness, joy and peace through the music into the lives of folks who enjoy it.
Steve Christiansen
Over 50 years in music, Steve Christiansen has spent much of his life performing top 40 country hits with his own band.
In 2017, Steve followed a lifelong dream and began writing gospel music, releasing a CD to honor and praise the Lord.
A recipient of multiple awards including winning :The Voice of the Ocean" on an Alaska Cruise, and being named "Entertainer of the Year" from the West Valley Country Music Association.
Steve now hopes to finish his music journey by writing and singing praises to Jesus with his friend Duff Gorle.
Steve and his wife Georgiann ae devoted to their children and grandchildren. They are natives of Minnesota and now reside in Sun City West, Arizona.
Duff Gorle
Originally from South Africa, Duff has also lived in Kenya, Uganda, Zimbabwe, and England. He is greatly and proud to be a citizen of the USA.
An ordained minister with experience in pastoring, teaching, counseling, chaplaincy and music ministry, Duff sensed God's calling in his life at an early age. Duff's music history includes singing with Harvest Celebration and the Heritage Singers.
Duff is passionate about loving God, family, friends, people and loving life! HIs interests include books, music, food, relationships, coffee. the ocean, trees, walking and adventuring.
Duff's central calling is to be a "heart encourager". He has a compelling interest in helping coach and mentor spiritually hunger people toward a deeper experience of God's love, grace, goodness and generosity.
Duff is married to the love of his life Denise Marie. They have seven children and a dozen grandchildren and live in Milwaukie, Oregon
